Kudos! (That is "Thanks" to you young folks!)

One can never say "Thank You" enough in life.  I am the WORLDS WORST about this.  In my heart I am beaming at the generosity of people around me -- but my mouth forgets to say it!  So, with that said....

I want to thank Jeni, Paige, Danyelle, Jordan, Taylor, and Koylaticia for working on posters for the band hall.  They are AWESOME!  Thanks to Jeni, Paige and Danyelle for coming up today and helping to hang those great posters!  Thanks Ryan for the ladder,...and special thanks to Mr. Cannedy for bringing all of the stands down from the attic and for copying our stand tunes!  I never say thanks enough to the Mr. in my life for his helping out with my bands behind the scenes.  I really appreciate all you do Doug!

I hope I didn't leave anybody out.  If I did, please know that I appreciate you, but my memory is horrible!  Hopefully I can finish up here today and have a three day weekend?????? Until later....

Working Day

Happy July 29th to everyone!  Only 3 more days until the first day of SUMMER BAND (and everything else you will be involved with school this year!)  I am excited, but a bit anxious about our new year.  After checking out the football, volleyball, cheer leading, and cross-country schedules I am flabbergasted at the difficulties we face in scheduling our practices!  WOW!  I'm glad you have so many opportunities -- it is one of the things I love most about small schools, but I also know that we are going to have to be very FLEXIBLE with our practice schedule to accommodate the active lives our band members!

We will be at the band hall today from 10-1:00pm working.  Don't forget to come and pick up a drug testing authorization form from either myself or Ms. Lynn TODAY or TOMORROW!  Remember - these forms are due no later than August 2!  The testing is scheduled for Wednesday, August 4 at 1:00pm!  Everyone has to attend if you plan to be in any extra-curricular activity!

Hope you all have a restful and fun day!  Enjoy your last few days of summer break!  Until later...

Happy Day!

Happy Day Bremond Band Fans!  As I sit here this morning drinking my coffee, I am mulling over the fact that I have a zillion things to do and time is ticking down!  Monday afternoon is going to be here before you know it!  Paige, Jeni, and some of the our leaders will be at the band hall tomorrow from 10:00-1:00pm to finish the clean-up and hang posters.  If you want to come help, COME ON!!  We could use the help for sure.

Mr. Schroeder informed me that we will have mandatory drug testing the first week of practices.  I THINK it is scheduled for Wednesday, at 1:00pm (it was the last time I spoke with him).  PLEASE go by the school and pick up a drug testing slip and bring it with you the first day of band.  You will not be allowed to participate in ANY extra-curricular activity without the testing.

How did you like the "New to Us" stand tunes?  There were only 3 votes yesterday, and 2 of those were MINE!  GO VOTE!  LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

Until later....

"New to us" Stand Tunes for 2010

Although I am proud of myself for finally setting up a site that I could use to talk to my band/keep my band informed,...I am still a procrastinator!

AHHHHH!

I wanted to get the links to our stand music on here several days ago, but just couldn't get it done.  Well, that is my goal for the day, so here goes.  I picked some music that I thought would be fun, that we could prepare and play well!  Some of the links actually open the music while others (published by Hal Leonard) will open up the Pepper Music Company link to the music.  You will then have to click on the "MP3Audio" link listed under the title.

Hope you enjoy the tunes!  Thanks to JW Pepper Music Company for the links!

Send me a note and let me know which ones are your favorites.

Check out the Bremond Paper!

Check out the Bremond Press today for 2 new articles about the band!  There was one small error (sorry Paige and Danyelle!)  I neglected to send photo identification with the articles and Paige was tagged as Danyelle - Where is the long blond hair and WOW Danyelle -- You sure grew TALL over leadership training!  Oh well, we are published, which means there is positive information out in the community about the band.  What better way to build the band than to have everyone in Bremond reading about how much fun we are having!

Going shopping this afternoon for popcycles!  YUMMY!  They are REALLY yummy after a couple of hours marching out in the heat!

Stay "tuned" for more "notes"!  Until later....

"Notes" for the day!

Happy day Bremond Band fans!  I woke up this morning so very excited to see how many followers we would have on our new blog only to be CRUSHED to find that there were absolutely no new additions!

AWWWWE man :'-(

OUR GOAL
I would like to get as many new followers as possible by the end of the weekend.  Text your friends, Facebook your family, Twitter your Twitter friends!  Lets get people signed up soon!

I am planning to try to add a calendar, a countdown ticker, and links to our stand music today!

Only 10 more days until Summer Band starts!  We were invited to perform at the "Back to School Rally" scheduled for August 14th at 1:00pm.  Please mark this date on your calendar and let me know if there are any conflicts.  This will be a good opportunity to show off our "stuff" for the community!  We will play the Fight Song/School Song and 21st Century Breakdown.

Hope everyone has had an awesome summer!  Enjoy your last week off with your family and friends.  I can't wait to see everyone again.  Until later....

Band Rehearsals

Ok guys -- This is my first blog and I just wanted to tell you how excited I am to start a new marching season!  We have one week of R&R before the work and fun begin!  Please note that our rehearsal schedule may have to be altered depending on who is actually participating in band and what activities they are involved in.  Please keep this in mind and try to be flexible when possible.  If you know of someone who was talking about joining band this fall, please give them a call this week and let them know about rehearsals!  I will see everyone on Monday, August 2 at 5:00pm.  Have an awesome last week of summer break!
